My wife and I certainly feel for all of the people presently located in Florida and along the coastal locations of Georgia and South Carolina during this catastrophic event.

We live in Aiken, South Carolina (not far from Augusta Georgia) and even though we may have an elderly couple coming to stay with us from Hilton Head this weekend (evacuees) we are happy to open up our home to another family from this forum that cannot find accommodations/shelter up this way.

Sleeping arrangements may come to sleeping on couches, air mattresses, etc. but will do the best that we can.

If the elderly couple decide to ride out the hurricane and not come we may be able to take an additional family in but will not know anything until later today.

PM me with your contact information and we will do what we can to help out a family in need!

;)
Forgot to mention this but I also have room to store one more Mustang in my garage during this storm if you have a way of getting it over here.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Bravo team at hospital in Homestead, home 18 miles north, surrounded by flood zones, but my house and my GT 350 are on a high ridge, interesting program developed by FIU called storm surge simulator, shows Hospital parking lot under 3 to 5 feet of water, if it stays a strong 4 and hits us squarely, my house zero, but 3 blocks away 7 feet. With the recent jog west if accurate will miss the eye wall but still get the dirty side, may diminish storm surge from both the south and the east, and only have the southern. Have lived in Miami entire life and have experience with Donna which they say is similar to Irma and of course Andrew. For everyone in Irma's path, be careful, be safe, don't do anything stupid, especially after storm passes, more injuries and deaths occur then. I think I will take NAHJA out for a short spin this evening not knowing when she will come out to play again.

Good Luck Claude and all in the path of this hurricane:cheers:

Having your Mustangs and GT350s come out unscathed would be icing on the cake and secondary to the health and welfare of you and your family.

Just a quick update advising that the elderly couple from Hilton Head (both in their 90's) are going to ride out the storm with their 65 year old son.

That being said we now have ample room and welcome other fellow Mustang/automotive enthusiasts to stay with us during Hurricane Irma.

To all that stayed behind both my wife and I will be thinking of you and wish you all safe haven!

Best of luck to everyone on the path of the storm, I think it's going to be a tough time indeed.

If the interstates heading north aren't a parking lot I'll be very surprised. I would be trying my best to get out though.

Took a friend 13 hours to get to the Georgia border from Tampa area today, I fear leaving now would have us stuck in traffic as there aren't any hotels available and I have a dog. Riding it out with a generator that I'm going to plug Target for shipping a 120lb package Next Day Air to get here for an additional $15 charge. I actually called their customer service # to thank them.

Thanks to the other well wishers and PP0001 thank you for offering your home to forum members, that's just good ppl right there.

This isnt like a tornado where it sucks you up so anything that is in ground, like a drained pool would be great. Sit in the corner the wind is coming from. At least it would protect you from flying debris. Hopefully lots of concrete block houses. God Be with you all! My sister is in Jacksonville and Mom is in Tampa. She is at a shelter in a school.
This is one bad mofo.
