Flat Rock - another 2 week closure

Not good news. I have it on good authority that Flat Rock will be closed again w/c (week commencing) July 12th and w/c (week commencing) July 19th.

Such conflicting info. On another thread it was said by friend that works at FlatRock that they were back to 7 days a week and no more shutdowns.

This is new info from today. To be honest, I think we can expect intermittent closures for the rest of the year

I think he means the weeks of the 12th and 19th, that would be 2 weeks.

My Mach1 is scheduled for production on July 14th. Looks like I will be pushed back...again.

This is still down to the chip shortage. I can only imaging the headache someone's got trying to allocate these chips to the various plants.

Joking aside - its a common abbreviation over here (certainly in my workplace) for 'Week Commencing'

Wow, I had no idea w/c (week commencing) and w/e (week ending) wasn't used in the US. My apologies.

Just for clarity, commencing means beginning and ending means finishing

So randomly I was checking my order tracker and my window sticker is up today. Blend Date is 7/7/21. Not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing with this updated news At least I know its not far away even if its after the next pause.

Sucks, I get why its happening but doesnt make it any less sucky.
