Triple aaa verified the battery was good and he fixed the cinnections and it started but no sound. Sunmary of what i tried
Resetting battery in forscan
Reset bcm
Reset acm
Checked and rechecked every fuse. Only mods to electrical system is speakers but the sound thing just happened right after we trsted thw battery. I have no idea where to start. Tried disconnecting and re connecting the dsp. Not even the chimes or nav sounds work, or handsfree calling
If you have a factory amplifier and your radio turns on to display the screen but there's no sound coming out, this is pointing out to a blown fuse for the factory amplifier. Check your fuses that's all related to audio to ensure they're good.
If you have an aftermarket amplifier or amplifiers, check those fuses as well. It could be the remote turn on or the fuse for power to the amps.
All factory components except minor speaker upgrades but this just happened out of nowhere after fixing my battery cables. Sound worked fine, reconnected negative battery cable again, still no sound
There may possibly be an issue with the APIM. I know you've already gone down this path with your battery but try performing the following:
*Disconnect your negative battery terminal
*Let it stay disconnected for 30 minutes
*Reconnect the negative terminal
*Turn on the car (ACC only and do not start the car) and immediately turn off the radio
*Let it stay on for 2 minutes
*Start the car immediately at 2 minutes
*Wait for another 2 minutes after you start the car
*Turn the radio on
I'm hoping that you have some sign off life of having sound after this process.
If not, the next step would be to completely disconnect all of the cables from the factory amplifier and reconnect them to make sure the connection is solid. You can test the power and ground cable to the factory amplifier.
Chances of it happening is very rare but it's possible that something happened to the factory amplifier
Just did the battery disconnect. Nothing. This sucks because i aas just enhoying the radio with the skar speakers and sound deadening. Now i have nothinh
Just disconnected the brown plug on the dsp by the firewall driver side and stuck a multi meter on it and its being supplied power but nothing is coming out. Went through forscan and reset the acm bcm, and ran diagnosnostics on both modules and they are functioning according to forscan.
Well shit. I feel like if i replace it im just guessing and throwing money at it and im disabled on a fixed income. I guess ill just carry you jbl bathroom speaker
Honestly I might trade the car in. I cant deal with weird electrical shit. I have zero idea how to get the sound working. I need sound. Im old. Lol I might even try to trade for a 2014. This is ridiculous. I've wasted $$$ on this car and something else just magically breaks
