Yes it is because without it vote harvesting would not be possible and legal and it’s exactly what California did, as you mentioned,by changing the previous rule that allowed only family members to deposit ballots
Need more info?
By your own statement you said the voter can choose who they want to pick up the ballot. That is NOT the same as a random " Volunteer" aka stranger coming to your door to help you fill out and turn in your ballot.

How do you " choose" someone if you don't even know who the hell they are?

They ( dems) changed the law so they can cheat by filling out fraudulent forms pretending they were just helping old people.

How else does 6 Republicans who are leading the midterms night ending all of a sudden lose 3 days later because of absentee votes? That is unheard of.

Also your arrogance is showing kid.

I imagine that you are a pi&&ed off Republican?
So you basically are saying that those voters didn’t choose because they didn’t knew who the were voting for.....
How insulting and elitist
Btw, the “kid” is 64
You are just digging a bigger hole for yourself

You are voluntary casting your vote at the request of a 3rd party
and yet the political operatives only go to people who will cast hte vote the direction they need it to be. No to mention the political operatives don't bother with such trivial things like verifying if the person hasn't already cast their ballot at a polling place (or via absentee weeks ago), is even in this country legally, nor verify the person signing the so-called ballot is who they say they are by verifying identity via a picture ID.

If you can't get off your ass to go vote or go thru the perfectly legitimate absentee process which REQUIES you to supply a picture ID in many states (but again probably not in Commiefornia), then you don't get to vote. It's that simple. It's your personal responsibility to make your voice heard and to take action with the necessary lead time. If you're sufficiently incompetent (metal/physical) then having a direct family member or the nursing home collect the absentee ballot(s) and mail them in by the deadline is perfectly legal and appropriate.

Ballot harvesting is ILLEGAL and PROSECUTED in most other states for the CRIME that it is. Only in California is this rampant avenue for voter fraud legalized by the legislature for whose benefit again? Did Orange County magically turn blue? Nope. Has there been even one incident where ballot harvesting eliminated a Democrat who was all set to win? I wonder why...

That was a hard read but no. That is not near what I said. I am a Republican. Proud of it. Took me a lot of years to do research and think for myself. Great feeling.

You are a bit naive
Of course democrats are going to target people that they think will give them their vote
Same with republican
That said if we wanted to only allow people that are smart, educated on the issues and honest to vote, the numbers of voters would be quite small

I can only approve and commend you for researching issues and thinking for yourself
Too many people argue a position without having any arguments because of their intellectual laziness
I always enjoy a “good “ argument. Lol

maybe you haven't noticed but voter participation is TINY. I personally wouldn't mind a rule that unless 78% of the registered populace shows up to vote it's null and void and the position/seat is eliminated until the next election cycle. Back in the day we had poll tests and Jim Crowe laws designed to illegally disenfranchise the Blacks. No one is advocating for that, only for people to get off their asses.

When a political operative shows up at your door, is there a polling monitor with them monitoring what's going on? That already pre-filled ballots aren't being handed out to persons to "just sign here"? Or maybe a couple of folded twenties aren't being exchanged during the handshake and nod/wink? Perhaps you don't know that we HAD a history of out-and-out vote buying as recently as the 1940's because it took that long for States to go to secret ballot which makes verifying the efficacy of the quid-pro-joe impossible to enforce.

I have no beef with weeks beforehand political operatives from any side distributing absentee ballots and trying to jaw people to their point of view on this or that. But they do NOT get to collect them in any way, shape or form or they go straight to prison.

I know this thread turned into a political debate but OP, what is your aftermarket exhaust setup? Some are obviously louder than others.
