I think only dealers that are getting 50th LE are open today. My local dealer is open too but won't allow ordering because the few they are getting have already been spoken for by people with big wallets in the area.

They told me the orders could only be placed in the computer for the LE

That makes sense only high sale dealers are getting anywhere between 1-8 so once they are spoken for they're gone.

I think the dealership here got 4. But I was told some individuals came in and offered to pay above sticker to order the first ones. These same guys did the same thing when the 07 GT500 came out. They paid about 25 grand over sticker for the 500s. I don't know about the 15s.

These guys always compete with each other. Plus they will try to get the first ones, then bring them to the next car show to rub it in everyones face that they have the LE.

I do for one love the Kona Blue! Good choice and congrats!

Jesus, I guess I need to make a call to VA first thing in the morning. Any idea if they are charging MSRP or going over MSRP? I'd love to have a 50th Auto in either color, but I don't want to pay over MSRP.

From what I have seen, dealerships are charging MSRP. The situation here is different I'm sure than most.

Unfortunately they are speculating 5k over MSRP.

Ok, thanks for the information! I'll likely end up going with the 50th appearance package then. An LE just seems to not be in the cards for me. Another forumer pointed me to a dealership in Florida, but they refused to sell to me because I'm out of state. He also said he was getting for exactly MSRP, but they told me $10k over (suspect that's because he is a regular customer). The local dealers to me are only getting a single car and the GM's or owners are snagging them up.

Based on the current schedule (August production) and the way scheduling has operated in the past, June or July seems reasonable.

Well guys today was the day. I went down to Ted Britt Ford in Fairfax VA and submitted my order into the computer. 2015 Mustang GT 50th Anniversary! It's standard equipment is...well...everything haha. my confirmation will be posted below and they have 3 slots left to order the Anniversary. It was awesome seeing "order sent to factory" on the screen! I'm so excited I can barely contain myself. A huge thanks to Eddie and Bernie at Ted Britt! Here is a picture of my confirmation!
Congrats! it's a stunning car.

I have to wait until 2016 now so I will be living vicariously thru you guys who are lucky enough to buy right away. Keep us all updated, I need all the fuel I can get to wait until next year. :(

Bully for the 50th LE cars since Ford pretty much decided what people will get. I'll be ordering one, but I'm going to hold off until more information becomes clear about what each of the options and packages mean before I go giving up my '14 daily driver just to get one. And still there's a lot Ford disappointingly seems to have chosen to exclude.

First, it's not clear what the "Redline" interior happens to mean. Scuttlebutt is pegging hopes on the Beijing red interior car, but the guide clearly states "red contrast stitching" - a far cry foe a proper red interior of the 2014 401A variety.

It's also a shame that Ford won't include TORSEN diffs with ANY of the automatics. Red headed stepchild again.

Lastly, no one yet knows if any of the phenomenal bolt-ons from Ford Racing will either carry over or have updated versions. The 624HP Whipple is about the most fun a GT owner can have for $5K. I'm loathe to give it up without being for something that's indisputably better in all meaningful respects.

With a 50LE to stash away, I'm perfectly content to bide my time and see what more Ford may choose to offer. As good as the 15 looks to be, it's a shame so much was left out from what can actually be ordered.
