Divide it by five. After 1000 miles your engine will have a lot of freshly-shaven scrapings in its oil filter. After that you'll be in the clear and will be able to change the oil at normal intervals.Mine said 5000 miles
I did my first @ 1000 miles. I'll do my next @ 5000 just to keep it simple from there on out.

This is what I have done with all of my cars.I'll do mine between 1000-1500. This has been my standard for new car purchases.
