First experience with a Hellcat owner today..

First of all I don't street race or instigate anything on the street so don't get too excited.

On my way back from dinner with my fiancé I pull up to a red light. About a second later a Hellcat Challenger pulls up next to me and revs the piss out of his car. I just sat there kind of dumbfounded as I've never had anyone do this to me.

I go ahead and open the exhaust valves and rev it a bit.

He sees the adjoining light turn yellow and as soon as the light turns green he launches his car and is off.

My fiancé looks at me and tells me that she's suprised I didnt launch as well.

I kind of felt like Marty in Back to the Future 3


Nevertheless for the week that I've owned my car I've only had thumbs up and great responses from Mustang and Camaro owners alike. Even BMW and Porsche owners.

He probably bragged on the Challenger (or whatever) forum he left a GT350 in the dust at the light :lol:
I always chuckle when people make themselves look goofy taking off like that, assuming I really care. . Glad you didn't indulge him.

Haha it's simply not worth it, I have nothing to prove.

However I'd love to compare times at the road course with him!

Well those guys next to him were the type of people who wouldn't back off unless you played in their game. So he came up with this solution where they would leave him alone without any more confrontation

There's the right time and place for everything.

I enjoy going to the race track every two months, it's expensive but I don't have to look over my shoulder worried about the police.

Why do you assume people can only drive fast on a street - which is the dumbest thing to do and has nothing to do with having any skill ?

Anyone who still street races will most likely get what is comming to them. Hopefully before they kill someone.
