Hey guys this is my first write up so I apologize now lol. First initial impressions when i unboxed the CAI was everything was packaged nicely. only thing that can really get dinged up is the MAF housing, which i apologize i didn't get a good picture of just that.

I took the next picture for the guys that just wanted to get a general idea of what this intake will look like painted with no powdercoat like i did. i really like the looks like this and was very hesitant on if i should powdercoat or not.

well finally got all of my paint done which im not happy at that shop due to them charging me more than they quoted and for my performance shop (JMB Performance) for the awesome powdercoat as usual.
The install was very straight forward and simple. I did bust one of those stupid clips off of the passenger side pcv line, but held it in place with the zip tie that steeda supplied haha. The box was a little bit of a trick to get into the car due to having the line up the cold air in funnel or what ever we call it. and the inlet tube fought me the entire way. but i'm sure if i would have used a little silicone lube everything would have went on fine.
I only have 2 complaints about it, well more me being picky than anything. first of which, when installing the two lines coming off of the driver side, install them into the inlet tube first. not into the line first like the directions stated. my rubber grommet pushed back inside of my tube and i had to take the MAF sensor back out to get it. and the only other one is the smaller hose coming form the drivers side that connects to the inlet tube is a little wobbly. not a super tight fight like i would like. but im sure i will never have a problem with it.
All in all i am very very happy with the quality of this product and can't wait for my tune to arrive so i can drive my car lol. I would like to give a special thanks to David@steeda for all the help he has given me on this, and hope that this can get steeda moving to offer color match options from them later down the road.
ill try to get some better pictures once my tune arrives and i can get it out of my garage!

looks great! I think I'll definitely at least have to paint the plastic tube!

The blue + white theme looks fantastic. It looks like your ST brace is PC'ed? Did you "de-rivet" the little plate on the top and reattach it?

Yup drilled out the 2 rivets and just replaced them with some stainless steel screws

Looks great, removing that sound tube really unclutters and opens up that side of the engine bay.
Now all you need to work on is that rod thingy in the way.

Now you just need to have the intake and coil cover recessed bars and letters done in the same blue as the ST Brace and CAI. Would make the engine compart really jell. You could kick it up one more notch by adding the same color blue racing stripes to the outside. :headbang:

I've got the lettering and the two accent stripes done in DIB, it's the vinyl kit from the anchor room, not an exact color match but it's blue none the less haha, and I have a black and blue stripe kit on the car with the blue stripes matching the custom powdercoat :headbang: ..... I would like to have the actual color for the lettering and accent stripes that your talking about tho
