I keep looking into AirAid because it is an enclosed system. How does your intake operate when it's raining or after you wash the car. I read that the filter gets soaked from the heat extractors on the hood since it is not enclosed. Also read of people complaining about the snorkel you cut off the OEM unit and transfer to Steeda unit either not fitting right or coming loose. Shed any light on that?

I've never noticed large amounts of water getting in through the heat extractors. Install wasn't a big deal. Yes, you have to cut a piece from the stock box but it all works out just fine. I didn't have any issues and it sits in there just right.

Thanks. I'm just really skeptical this is going to work out right haha. Never used a tuner and not sure about the water issue.

Chris_Keller, If you take your time and read the directions, you'll be fine. It's a little bit of a pain to get the snorkel into place over the factory inlet in the front, but nothing that's impossible. I have the Steeda CAI and had the Steeda tune and the car ran perfectly. The only reason I don't have their tune anymore is because they don't have a tune for the GT350 intake manifold. Heck, if you were in my area, you could bring it over to my garage and I would help you with it. I had mine in and out a few times.

Its an excellent setup. i went with it and the fit and finish is what i wanted. Having said that if anyone here is interested I am going to list my setup soon.. sct tuner and intake . parting my car out back to stock to sell.
I will add I have had nothing but excellent experience and service and communication with steeda. Same cannot be said for other vendors I have purchased parts from.
