I got my intake straight from steeda. Their customer service is good. Got a discount too. Give them a call! Been running mine without the restrictor with a custome tune by reputable tuner. Feels and sounds awesome! Dyno shows about 410rwhp

And you call yourself an enthusiast?? ;)
Hah! Believe me HalfMoon, I wanted to get started last night but I didn't get home until kind of late. And given that she's my daily driver, and I'm not too tech savvy, I was concerned that something might not go right with the tune and I'd be without a car to get to work in the morning.

I'm gonna get started in the morning and if all goes well, it really shouldn't take too long. In addition to loading the tune, I've got to remove the restrictor from the CAI and I'm hoping I can do that without having to take it apart too much. Has anyone done this? i.e. removed the restrictor from the Steeda CAI after its been installed in the car?

Thanks.

Wow! That's a good dyno number. I'm hoping to get a little more power with the Lund tune and no restrictor. It might not be too much more, or very noticeable I suppose, since I'm already running Bama's 93 octane track tune.

But 410 hp at the rear wheels seems pretty solid to me.

Loaded the Lund tune and removed the restrictor sleeve from the Steeda CAI. It went pretty well with one small hiccup in getting the tune loaded that Terry at Beefcake walked me thru on the phone. Thanks, Terry.

Car is pulling strong and sounding good. The only possible issue I see right now is the rpms at idle after the car is warmed up seems to be a bit high at 750 rpms. I'm gonna run it for few days and then do data logging so Lund can tweak the tune to my car.

Below is a pic of the aluminum restrictor sleeve sitting on top of the CAI.
