his coolant reservoir is located same as GT owners that install a hellion twin turbo kit
2 of the 3 lines are long enough for the relocation
only one line has to be extended which is seen running across the front of his engine
I was looking into doing this on my car after seeing the pics of the Hellion setup. Also coolant relocation would be a nice add on option for a CAI kit.

is it possible to install a MAperformance intercooler instead of a fftec?
the only reason im leaning towards theirs is because i dont have to change the charge pipes, as compared to fftec their intercooler needs a 189 custom chargepipe for theirs.

Thanks

The FFTEC IC fits with the stock charge pipes. Also, the turbo kit comes with a new hot side charge pipe and the FFTEC IC is rated for a higher HP level than the MAP one.

The Ecoboost is finally getting people's attention. The S550 is going to scare a lot of people, regardless of motor.
I've been playing with the 3.5 ecoboost for a few years now, I know how potent they can be. :ford: I'm actually doing a turbo swap on mine as soon as it gets back from paint.

I was tossed between the two, but I couldn't pass on a 5.0..

Install is complete and tuning should happen monday!

Huge thanks to FFTEC for going above and beyond what any shop is expected to do.

Due to the hotside on their shop car being slightly older then the ones in the kits, the downpipe fitment was off.

I was happy to modify it but they insisted to bring the car to their shop this evening. 9pm-4:30am was spent modifying the downpipe and mating it up to my exhaust.

Even on the COBB ots 1 tune the car feels great, I'm seeing full spool between 3250 and 3500

Looks great and props to FFTEC for going cradle to grave on their kit!

I was curious about this as well and in talking to FFTEC I was told they have not had a car with the MAP FMIC so they cannot say for sure if it will fit or not...pretty sure it will fit but not certain.

It should "technically" fit with any stock charge pipe compatible IC, but I'm sure we'll find out more when more people install.

Not following this; dragon is getting the fftec kit...?
I'm confused as well...

There are a couple reasons I would personally choose FFTEC's stuff over MAP's, but I don't want to derail Anthony's thread too much. I prefer FFTEC's turbo choice and the fact that they've already been running an upgraded turbo since last year.

Edit: If you want me to go more in depth feel free to PM me.
