Hello I noticed today my passenger door slightly rubs the fender I have ppf on both parts it looks like it’s rubbed down the ppf possibly into paint. I’ve done a little research and seen you loosen the 3 bolts inside the engine bay then the 2 by the window and can try to slide the fender foward a little does anyone have any trips or done this before any insight appreciated. All pictures are with my slightly cracking the door you can see how close it gets surprisingly it only rubs that one part I can’t believe I haven’t noticed this till .

Well if you slide it forward, how's the rest of the fender going to line up ?
I'd put a straight edge on the door, then fender and see if Ford quality control has a straight, or wavy line.

@WildHorse yea that’s what I’m worried about tweaking it then something else is out of line I was looking at front bumper to fender line and it’s slightly off like the fender is back towards the door slightly if I had to guess a wave line lol

well give it a shot.. keep in mind the rest of the door/fender gap will widen though.

I haven’t messed around with my gaps (and they aren’t great), but I defo wouldn’t move the fender …

Moving the fender will make a right mess of the bolt and paint in this area :

And if I believe what I’ve read on here, the holes in the two panels (the top hole in the picture above) should line up - and yours are pretty good.

What’s your door like, particularly the back edge ?

Would shifting the door back a little work better ?

@WD Pro yea after going around and checking all the gaps you are correct it’s the door itself not the fender I remeber I came across a pdf about adjusting the doors when I was searching stuff for comparison the first two pics is my drivers side then the passenger side gaps

It’s very minimal but it’s off just enough to rub wish I woulda seen it sooner it looks like it rubbed right through the ppf and got the paint sucks
