Bumpers never match the body due to the different substrate material metal vs. plastic. The car body is usually statically charged at the factory since its a bare shell and paint applied by the robots this helps with VOC's and waste from over spray. The plastic bumpers can not be charged but can be hung upside down with the painted side down and sprayed to eliminate dirt. A lot of dealer options like spoilers are considered port options and are painted in a non-factory environment at the distribution centers before the cars get loaded and go out to the dealer lots. Most factory paints have a lot of orange peel that helps reflect light so you think it matches or its close but its not.

Bottom line is paint is now rocket science but still can't match between metal and plastic substrates unless a human takes the time to make it match by testing a spraying a different hue for the bumpers. Which won't happen unless you own an exotic and/or pay heavily for the labor. Turn and burn shops won't bother and insurance work never pays them reasonably because they are offered volume to offset.

AndreiD has the advantage that in europe they don't crash like we do since drivers licenses are expensive and can take a long time to get. In germany the cost is $2000euros and most ppl use public transportation anyways. Less volume of repair means better quality I'm sure the GT350 will end up in a good shop. His only problem will be to wait 30days for the paint to reach peak hardness or ask for it to go through another 20min bake treatment in the booth so he doesn't easily get rock chips on the fresh paint. Clear bra also can not be put on fresh paint and he'll have to wait.
Wohaaa...those thoughts made me have nightmares! I just hope i get that splitter to fit properly and stick, without having to do anything importing, painting, baking and ....:frusty:

Woha! Thanks for the link...but what is the part exactly?

The title says front bumper cover and the part no is 17D957 but on the picture there is no such part with that no.
It's hard to pick out in some of those pictures but this is what I think it is.

Andrei,

First, congrats on your car and I'm sorry about your delivery problem. Once you get this behind you, I'm sure you're going to have an awesome experience. I can't imagine anything more sexy than cruising around Romania in a high reving American V8. I'm sure the reactions will be priceless.

By the way are you American? Your use of English seems exceedingly relaxed and American.

Hi!

No, I'm not American, however i studied English from a very young age, before I even learned to write in even in my native language. I continued to be very fond of English and hey...besides, it's the language of the world. I did some courses later on at British council, on advanced level but hated it. I hate British accent.

So, between lots of forums and books, I kept up and maintained my English decent.

It was useful last November when i came in the states. Moreover, I spoke to lots of guys on the streets and everywhere, in pubs etc and most of them couldn't believe I was not American, aside from my imperfect English.

A vet even approached me on the streets, in Key West, asking me if I served. I told him no, because I'm not even American. Probably because I'm a little bit jacked, wore a blue t-shirt with a US flag on it and in some tactical trousers. Hah!

Cheers!

PS: Most of my people and even foreigners from near countries like Greece etc told me I don't look freaking Romanian at all.
