Yup! There's a cruise from Bay Area to Knott's early Friday morning. There are a few groups headed down leaving from different parts of Northern California and joining along the way. I'm going with the group leaving from SJ.

Leaving 5AM sharp from Starbucks at 5670 Cottle Road, San Jose, CA.

1st stop at Kettleman City off exit #309
2nd stop at the foot of the Grapevine, 9069 Grapevine Road West, Lebec, CA
Final destination at the Holiday Inn in Buena Park right by Knott's. 7000 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA

I am not the organizer and don't even know them personally but I went with them last year for the first time and had a great time. The view of nearly 100 Mustang's driving down I-5 is a sight to behold. If you can wake up early enough, do it!
