Ok, so, I have had zero issues with the car. Other than some tire punctures and some wheel bending that are pretty par-for-the-course, the only repairs I've had to have done are a replacement driver's side window after somebody tried to throw a concrete block through it while it was parked. Shockingly, the window just scratched, but didn't break.

Anyway, I'm at 30,000 miles, and my warranty will be expiring soon. What are people's thoughts on getting an extended warranty, even though I've had zero problems with the car so far? Is it worth it?

Have you had the evaporator core leak or fix?

If you plan to keep your car stock and for 100K miles, yes. Make sure the warranty covers electrical, oil starvation, throw out bearing, and differential issues otherwise it's kind of a waste. Needs to cover things that cost about as much as the warranty to repair. And needs to have a nice liberal rental car rider. Extended warranty on my past Subaru paid for a throw out bearing, new fuel rail, new steering rack, and the AWD differential thing and paid for itself thrice over.

If you plan to modify one single little element of the drivetrain... no.

That said, I've never had a problem with third-party extended warranties and tunes. Though I've ever had an engine blow because of a tune; or at all.

I have had zero problems with the A.C. and have had no service / repair done on the evaporator core.

I plan on keep the car stock (other than tires, swapped out the Pirellis for some Michelins), and driving it for well past 100K miles. I wouldn't get a third-party extended warranty; I'd get it through the Ford dealer.

Can you get your extend warranty refunded if you already bought it at the dealership through a loan?

Id' weigh how much longer you plan to keep it, remember its 60K on powertrain (I think), and most other things that would be problems would likely have shown themselves by now. I think ext warranties are just pure profit for these people. Also real important are the deductibles they'll charge.
