I’ve got it but don’t fully understand what it does, how it works and how it changes with the different modes. Looking for some knowledge.

Magnetorheological.

The the shock/strut's oil has ferrous metal shavings/particles in it. There is a rheostaticaly controlled magnet wrapped around the shock/strut bodies. Turn the magnet(s) up, and the fluid thickens, which stiffens the shock in both compression and rebound.

There are sensors that tell a computer when/how much to stiffen/loosen the shocks. And you have settings you can adjust yourself.

Short version of shocks:
When the shock moves up and down, it's moving a piston that's in oil. That oil is controlled by valves. You try to move it fast and there's a lot of force and maybe some little plates will move and that opens up more holes for valving or maybe less holes because of that... That's basics of shock valving. You're forcing oil through an orifice to dampen the motion.

When it comes to these electronic shocks, there are basically two types. One type does the equivalent of turning the knobs at the top. Those knobs mechanically change which valving you're using. That's not what you have though.

The other type uses the same valving all the time but changes how thick (viscous) The oil is. It changes it because the type of fluid inside it reacts to magnetic fields. So you can effectively make it thicker or thinner almost instantaneously.

If you can imagine pushing One of those tube style squirt guns, you have water in the gun and it squirts out easily. But if you swapped it for honey, it would take a lot of force to move it and therefore absorb a lot of your force.

That's the simplest way I can explain these computer-controlled shocks. The computer decides through its programming how it wants to react through the sensors it has throughout the car, and then adjusts the shock fluid.

because Ford Marketing is a bunch of rank wankers. MR should be a standalone package costing $1600-2000 and irrespective of trim level. It should be available even on 100A and 300A. But these days (post 2020) and the eye-watering price for PP1, you get to pay $6000 more before you can even add it.

On Camaro you can (now) get MR as an independent line-item. On Corvette it was a rider on the Z51 package.

We have several resources but this is one with our suspension guru & Steeda owner, Dario talking about the benefits of the Pro-Active Shocks & Struts, similar to the MagneRide:

Great to see the evolution of that new suspension system.
