I'm very anal about my cars, especially my Mustangs/high end stuff. For instance, in my F150, I almost never lock my blinker on, unless I'm stopped for a long period of time. I don't want the multi function switch to wear out and be loose in the column. I hate that. I also don't slide out of the seat when I get out. I get up, then out, to not tear up the side bolster of the seat. Another pet peeve of mine. My vehicles are usually clean, and I hate the handprints when people just grab the edge of the door and shut it. It's known in my household to use the door handle to shut the door. I dunno, guess I have OCD. But I like my stuff clean and presentable at all times, or most of it!
I did a complete service and detail on a customers Porsche one time, I spent the better part of a day using a claybar to remove gray paint (Owner tells me they were painting the overpasses the day he bought it) Then polishing/buffing this car. When I had the wheels off I cleaned the inside of the rims/chassis, EVERYTHING. The car looked showroom new when I was done. So when it was getting picked up, the owner throws the paperwork right on the roof of the car with the keys, and goes to sign the invoice there. I almost shit myself. I wouldn't put anything on the top of my in-need-of-paint fox body, and he just throws them on top of this 100k+ Porsche. lol.
To each their own I guess.
I hear you !!! different priories...I will bet that the same guy you mentioned cleans his golf club after every swing. (before it goes into his bag) I could care less of there is grass/dirt on my clubs....but in my car...no way..this is what makes the world go round, I guess.

Even if you specify not to wash it - their policy is typically to do an inspection and Ford requires them to do a specific number of things like checking air pressure in tires, engine oil and such. That part makes sense. I haven't purchased a new Mustang since 2000 and even then, they needed to do most of this...but they did honor my request NOT to wash it and not to remove any of the interior coverings.

I did the same thing and requested that they didn't wash our Explorer Sport before delivery. When I got home and washed the car myself I noticed a few factory paint imperfections i.e. ostrich feather imbedded in the paint in the c pillar, a paint smudge on the hatch, and a small dawb of paint between the clear and base coat. If I had known of the paint imperfections i would have chosen another one or waited for an ordered car. Next time I will let them wash the car.

Other thread is for 2015 so question is posted here

In speaking with the dealer they were saying the GT350 can be delivered with as much as 30-35 miles if Ford picked it as one of the cars they perform an extended test regiment on. They also stated it would have a sticker to this effect.
Does anyone have a pic. of the sticker or where they would put it on the car? I asked that my delivery have everything attached to it as delivered, stickers and all wraps.

When I picked up my Hellcat in April it had 4 km on, and Chrysler was supposed to have road tested each car before releasing. The salesman asked me whether I want a free tank of fuel but that will involve his guy driving it to a gas station. I said no and the car was delivered with only 1/4 tank of gas. See pic.

Hope my Ford guy can do the same.

My GT had 29 right off the truck. No PDI, no clean, no gas. Still in transport mode. I took it to get gas in it myself to ensure it had Shell or Sunoco 93 from the start. They paid of course. I was disappointed but I guess mine was selected for the extra QC drive at the plant. I was not aware of a sticker associated to prove so. If anyone knows the location or what it looks like I will look for one. I work for the same dealer group as the Ford dealership I bought mine from and they know me so don't think they would have drive given my requests. So I have to believe it was driven at the plant.

I personally don't give a rats butt!!!! Once I am driving it, it is mine and it won't matter anyway. But for those that care about it, good luck :D

Congrats GTA_Mustang!

Mine had 27 miles if memory serves me right. Mine was an early build that was very delayed for shipping during Ford's initial quality checks. There are a number of people with early build '15 & '16 cars that appear to have over 20 miles.
