Considering the use of active exhaust for MY18+ non-GT350 Mustangs, has anyone wondered if the aftermarket options for 5.0's would be easy to install on the GT350? The system and bends are, for all intents and purposes, identical... The hangers and brackets look to be/should be in the same location... The valve control for "sport" looks to have the same mounting point...

I know some of us would like to retain the ability to keep the exhaust mode option, which the current 350 options are limited to the Magnaflow system. For me, I would like more options, and the thought of removing the faux exhaust tips is highly enticing.

If I'm understanding correctly, the Magnaflow is not the only 350 option. Borla has two options that retain the system.

Corsa also makes a system for the GT350. I would highly advise against trying to finagle a 5.0 system onto a GT350. The mufflers have been designed by those companies with the 5.0 in mind. Also, you would have to see if the actuator would even mount up to one of those systems. Personally I haven't seen an '18 GT actuator module before so I can't comment on how they would work.

FP By Borla, Borla ATAK, Magnaflow, Hooker Blackheart (have to contact them directly), GTHAUS (very expensive). These are the ones I am aware of at this time but there maybe more.

The OEM actuators will not work with the Corsa system I believe.

Same, and the few OEM parts sites (Tasca, White Bear Lake) I follow don't have the parts online, so it's hard to compare.

They have a narrower spacing between the inboard tips. It would be a headache trying to reposition the tips (tailpipes) without having to lengthen piping or reweld hangers, etc. 2018s have the same tip position as the 15-17 roush quad outlet bumper. Look up the GT350 valence thread on the 5.0 subforum for a better idea of what im saying.

The GT exhaust is 2.5 inch and the GT350 is 2.75 inch. Not sure a GT system would match up with the GT350 mid pipes.
