Recommendations for exhaust for Running the standard whipple kit. How much more efficient will headers exhaust make the whipple? Has anyone just done a midpipe only?

I have midpipe plus cat deletes with stock muffs. If you reduce back pressure with exhaust mods you will prolly lose 1lb of boost but gain rwhp

You won't see much of a difference with stock headers and cats.

I guess with cat delete a car will not pass emissions? I wonder how whipple kit will perform with stock exhaust? I really want to keep the stock exhaust. will the stock cats disengrate? will the motor run a lot hotter with the stock exhaust?

headers will always help a s/c car breather better.

just thinking! If I need to do headers and exhaust for the forced induction then it makes twin turbos about the same price as the other options?

How much of a gain will you see if you do add headers? Enough to warrant the costs?(labor/materials ~2k)

No way. I slapped headers on my 14 gt500 and lost low end torque. Sold the car 2 weeks later.

Headers aren't needed.

First upgrade to the car was the ARH system. 29HP and 14TQ on the same dyno the same day with no tune (We were curious). Dyno numbers are meh, but this was surprising to us without a tune. If you're going to put more air in it's also nice to give it an easier way out. Not necessary for sure since a lot of testing is done without but the sound of headers...:eyebulge:

I noticed a big ramp in midrange power with my Kooks 1 7/8" mid length headers

If you add the cost off headers with the whipple your at the same cost as twin turbos unless you buy on sale
