Exhaust too close to valance?

I just installed my Roush axle back and I am a little concerned the tips are too close to the valance on the outsides. What do you guys think? I am guessing it will be fine since I don't think the tips get THAT hot to do any damage but I am not 100% sure.

I'd adjust the passenger side. I've seen supercharged cars melt the valence. Would probably be fine for 'normal' driving.

I'm not sure how unless I bend the think ass hanger. It WAS drooping down like an inch lower when I originally put it on but I loosened the clamps a wiggled it around to get it to where it is now height wise.

I think it would be fine. It might just look misaligned and that's only an issue if it bothers you. It took a lot of loosening of clamps and wiggling hangars to adjust my s-types.

It actually looks pretty straight and even standing back from it, it is just close to the outsides :/ it is evenly close to the outsides on both sides lol

Don't try to tuck them in too far. I melted the reflector on one side

They look good to me. It took some adjusting to get mine both straight. It will only melt the valance if it's really close.

The passenger side looks pretty damn close. I'd ask a friend to help. One to reposition and other to line up.

There has been cases of exhaust burning the reflectors. V6, Ecobost, and V8. dunno how.

I tucked both in even with the cut out. Also I have an mbrp exaust in case anyone asked..one of the reflectors actually bent 90 degrees and stuck straight out

Nah you will be fine. I had roush axle backs and I have had the car idling for 20 minutes in the middle of the summer didnt melt the reflectors above the opening unlike some other exhausts.

I believe the tips are double-wall construction which helps in keeping the heat down some. I think where they are in the pic's they'll be fine, but the pass side is a bit close. For a few bucks an exhaust shop could get it positioned better.

Your fine. My pass was way closer than that and I took it in to be adjusted. Now it sits like yours. No issues for 6 months. Mine are tucked flush with the cutout as well.

You might have to tweak the hangers to get them centered. BTW, that would drive me insane being off that far :frusty:
