Exhaust Pipe Wrapping

Any chance of a picture? Are you saying that 50' of wrap would cover each pipe 3x's? Or can you give a comparison to Rapid Reds pic?

Right now, I am leaning toward getting another package of 2 x 100' rolls in order to do the diff and use the 2 x 50' that I have now for the trans area along with the vis change in the diff.

I used 50ft on each pipe. Mine pretty much looks like rapids pic.

Just throwing this out there for those with 304 exhaust piping, this doesn’t exactly apply to those with OEM 400 series exhaust piping.

@ Paul, need to correct the quantities..

I assumed you were going to start at the front of the transmission. Wrap from there to the back side of the rear.

Reading the post just place I notice the plan is two individual wraps sections per side. That changes things quite a bit.

To expand the transmission has plenty of air, the rear overheats because it is stuff in a hole so to speak.

2 x 50ft will do the area around the rear center section just fine.

Did you get the tool >1 × Stainless-Steel Positive Locking Tie Kit
The SS ties are tricky to get right & tight. One shot only, mess it up only fix cut it off try again.

Not currently. I will be installing one. Currently have a FP x-Pipe and Kooks axles backs.
