I've been looking all around for info regarding exhausts. I live in MA, and in order to pass state inspection, DB readings need to be at 90 or under. I've been trying to find info on different ratings etc. but I can't find anything.

I wanted to put an Outlaw Axle Back on my 16 GT but after hearing my dad's 15 GT with the cat, I know my neighbors would kill me.

What comes close to that Outlaw rumble but without the noise. And more importantly, how do I pass state inspection?

90 or under for what conditions? Idle? WOT at 50 feet? That's critical.

I'm thinking Magnaflow Street axle back or stock with a resonator delete, if we're trying to be ultra safe.

Yeah, it's really dicey. I believe at idle. It's not really clear.

They cracked down big time after 2017. Exhausts, tints etc.

I'll check out YT. Guys run so many different setups, it's hard to pinpoint. I was thinking Borla Touring or Magnaflow Comp. But that Flowmaster is what I love.

You won't after you realize it drones like a cow being molested by a power drill. Borla Touring or Magnaflow Street.
That's a hell of an analogy lol.

So what's out there that gives a good rumble but isn't wicked loud?

So because you really like the sound of the Outlaws I thought Maggy Streets. Magnaflows are typically very bassy, almost boomy. I have to throw out the Corsa Touring Axle Back as a suggestion as well because...well, signature. You might get a touch of drone from the Magnaflows if you lug a bit in say 6th gear. The Corsa will NOT drone. Period. And if they do, customer support will take care of you.

H-pipe resonator delete and a set of GT500 mufflers. The mufflers take cutting and welding some pipe, but man it sounds right. Youtube it.

That's a great option too and it does sound very very good.

I'll see what I can find.

Do you have any particular good examples?

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. I'm gonna do the FPBB Catback. They sound good to me and they're 50 state legal so I won't have any issues.

If you're really worried about emissions, just install a catback exhaust and call it a day.

Check out the Borla Touring exhaust for a milder tone.
