Iā€™ve been doing so research on exhaust mods for my 2021 GT. Iā€™d like to get something a little louder than stock but with no drone. What exhaust mods do you recommend? I have the non active exhaust.

Naive question: Are all these systems including mufflers stainless (or high alloy) steel to last 10 years from corrosion and burn out? Especially important in northern and humid environments.

Every one I see is stainless. Dunno, mufflers don't rot out down here anymore. Not on modern cars.

I agree all or most stock systems are now stainless. Just didn't know about these aftermarket ones. My '07 Infiniti's system was still good shape when I sold it recently.

mbrp street catback
I run MBRP Street Catbacks.

They never had any drone, but were slightly raspy to my ear, so I installed a couple 18"x3" glasspacks after the H-Pipe- it cut out the rasp and gave the overall tone a nice bass note. The glasspacks didn't seem to affect loudness much at all. Exhaust tone is something I have always obsessed about and I am super happy with this setup.

Mustang oem arenā€™t stainless.
Gonna have to disagree, man. OEMs haven't used aluminized steel exhausts in a long, long time on any vehicle I know of. Most certainly not the Mustang. It's shiny AF under there, hah. Just because you see a spot of corrosion here or there, it doesn't mean it isn't stainless. Low grade stainless probably, but still.

I think it's a very tough call to pick an exhaust system, especially when dropping that much fkin coin......ridiculous actually. I have stingers on my 3v and absolutely love them. I figured the coyote....yep s-type all the way, but then I saw the AWE YouTube clip. Nice n deep sounding, not too much raspy shite. Still soooo expensive.. If I had the coin, it would be hard for me not to go with the AWE touring. Quiet or loud when "you" want. My .02

My favorite exhaust on my 2017 GT was the Krona catback. Very similar to the thermal R&D catback and has no drone with catted or catless headers. Sounds incredible and the resonator really helps a lot.
I agree, had it on my 15ā€˜ absolutely loved it

Iā€™d go with the MBRP street. Iā€™ve had no issues with drone and my girlfriend canā€™t find a difference in the drone from stock and aftermarket. The street is also not obnoxious and still sounds great. Good price too.
