I found the 'snow/wet' driving mode works very well in sand, provided you stay in 2nd and air-down to around 18PSI.

As per another response you should be able to change this to a delay. My reverse display on my 2018 will stay on the screen until I shift into neutral and put the handbrake on, or move off in first.
