It's certainly more responsive than the current system. I wish my 15 had it because I have a feeling MyFord Touch will get barely any updates now. The UI could use some more work though.

I dunno why so many people dislike MyFord Touch, I really like it and wouldn't change a thing.

Hope it doesn't look like that in final production. Love the ability to change the wallpaper. Hopefully that stays. Looks very bland

I've been pretty happy with MFT in my Mustang. A few things that I hope the new one addresses.

1. Faster response. MFT is a bit sluggish. The new one looks faster.
2. Limited points of interest. MFT database of POI is pretty weak.
3. Integration of phones addresses to navigation. This is really odd that I cannot navigate to a person I have on my phone address book.

It certainly seems more responsive than the current one, but that UI is HORRIBLE.

If this is what the production system is going to look like, I am glad I don't have it.

Hopefully they let you change the theme at least... that white looks really out of place and distracting.
+1
Think about how bright that white screen is going to be at night!!! :eyebulge:
They boned it bad on the UI. It is way easier to identify controls by color, instead of by looking at the icon. Having the icons in the same location will help, but a tasteful color scheme would make it much easier to use.

Wont matter to me.. I bought my Mustang to drive dont really care about the tech. Main reason i went with the Performance Pack and the Turbo. As long as i have a radio and an ipod jack im good!
Agreed. I grew up in a time when AM radio with a single speaker was standard equipment, lol. My concern is mfrs adding cost to the price of a base vehicle. The smartphone generation expects these things now so what can you do?

I'm sure you will be able to change the color theme, but I suspect it is kept washed out now so that it doesn't look too much like uConnect. Side by side it is real close with only minor changes to icons and the placement of certain static features like the time and temp.

I have MyFord Touch and love it. We have iDrive in a 2014 BMW and MFT blows it away. The iDrive controller wheel to spin and press is distracting and cumbersome. That said, technology progresses and I do welcome the changes and added features in Sync 3 and appreciate Ford continuing to develop a well integrated system.

I find cap touch gloves by SmartWool to work really well and provide a lot of warmth.

I grew up when the base radio was an option--we didn't have a pickup with a radio until 1982.

I just don't understand why Ford, wouldn't have this on the 50th Anniversary year of the Mustang. They tout the toggles, and refinement, yet save this piece of technology for next year......smh.

It wasn't ready for 2015. And since they couldn't make the 50th anniversary in 2016, well, the 50 year model missed out.

Its probably snappier because they gimped the UI and downgraded the graphical features of it. Audi is utilizing Nvidia technology with their Tegra chipsets and their stuff looks absolutely gorgeous. Ford cheaped out it seems with Sync 3, ripped away all the graphical elements and said its an improvement.

Google and Apple have made this too easy not to get.

1. Support Android Auto
2. Support Apple Car Play
3. Done

Lol at 4:05, he says the house number and it just sits. He follows up with 'This system... is very responsive'.

Just give me a hybrid iOS/Android (or even user-specified) pass-through interface and stop with all this garbage bloat. Please. Just transparently display my phone for Nav/Audio/Phone and use a straight forward command for climate. Futureproof and trouble-free. You can even charge whatever you want for it.
The new Sync 3 system does support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto...so wish granted.
