For a 2020 GT 10A: does it need a beefed up drivetrain to handle the added boost? Thinking of the larger pulleys. Not planning on doing any drag racing (at least not yet). It has around 30k miles if that makes a difference. Also, it's my daily in the summer, how streetable is a boosted setup in the rain assuming you have the right tires?

You'll be fine if you ain't launching it.

The rain is no problem if you have decent tires.. I make it work with summer tires if I do get caught out there which has happened a bunch. It isn't that bad if you drive like a normal person.

Writing this half awake.

I run a 6 speed with an ESS kit on a 120 pulley (just shy of 700whp) and a ton of other modifications that make the car "harder" to drive on the street I.e. lightweight driveshaft, lightweight flywheel, upgraded clutch so on. Mods like that make the car "harder" to drive in stop and go situations, and I've had zero issues for well over several years now. It's capable in the rain and snow. Centrifugal SC provide a linear powerband. Making them much easier to control, especially for daily driving. Depending on the pulley used, the car will retain its NA functionality when it is not building boost approx. below 2500-3500 rpm give or take depending again on pulley and bov spring setting. Throttle control, patience, and driving knowledge go a long way. Everyone's mileage will vary, we are all different types of drivers with different skill and knowledge levels.

As for supporting mods. Just buying their basic kits is good enough. Coupled with a knowledgeable tuner of course. The centrifugal kits do not require major supporting mods (outside of what is offered in the kits) as long as your power goals are sub 700whp. ESS kits easily make 500-700 whp for daily driven S550s depending on the kit you choose and your supporting power mods, i.e. headers. There are hundreds of sources for reviews; these forums, reddit, YouTube, etc.

I 100% daily mine with an ESS on an A10. If you aren't dig racing then the stock drivetrain can handle the power fine. I would look into rear suspension and cats though. I was running the Indy 500s, but since supercharging they are pretty useless tires. I'm currently running Conti ECS02 tires and they are WAY better but still cannot hold it all.

Eventually you will.

No supercharger or turbocharger will make boost during medium/light throttle. They will basically drive like stock. But the second you hit boost, no tire will help you in the rain. And very few tires will help you in the dry at non-highway speeds.

If you're not launching on sticky ass tires then you're good. This is my daily with 80k mi, running a G2/120mm, Conti ECS02's, and coilovers. And drive like you have common sense in the rain.
