2020 GT ESS G3 car with e85 and triple pump fuel system. We are having some idle issues. Just trying to see if anybody has came across this before. First off, i did not install this kit so please be patient with me as i may or may not know where everything is located in the car.

cold starts on the car are fine and the rom does drop down to normal temp. However, if the ac is on it can SOMETIMES have bouncing idle and can stall out sometimes especially if you put it in gear (a10 car).

warm starts are hit and miss. if i remote start it or even just get in and start it, the rpms are very low around 400-450 and itll either catch itself and raise itself up OR itll stall out again. i have higher chances of getting a good warm start if i let the car sit in the "on" position for about 15 seconds and itll usually start just fine. warm starts when successful will raise up to 1k rpm and never go down though untill i drive for about a quarter mile then idle will go down to the normal.

is there something im missing or something i can try out? had my tuner give me a revision and it fixes it mostly but the car just doesnt feel the same drivability and performance wise. i feel like hes working around and issue so i figured id jump on here to see if any of you guys would know.

thank you as always

Any codes?

Vaccum leaks? How much does it pull at idle and has it been smoke tested?

Does it run okay otherwise?

Do you have a log you can share?

My car also has a less than perfect idle with the AC on but not the other issues that you mentioned.

no vaccuum leaks that i know of. what is this smoke test you speak of. once i drive the car for about a quarter mile all is well and drives like a bat out of hell no issues. unfortuantely i have tried to get a long but the time it takes for everything to get setup to record it (about 30 seconds), its sat in the "on" position so long i do t have failures

its a weird thing. when i was on 93 i had similar issues but it never died, just had the low rpm stuff

I've had/have issues somewhat like this on warm starts, not sure what it is but check with your tuner. Who is it tuned by?

i have already spoke with him on it and has sent over a revision. it fixes it mostly, however, i dont like the way it drives with the throttle input seems to me that the throttle angle is more open and the rpm sits higher to the point the car wants to fight the brakes at stop signs/lights. seems like hes fighting around an issue so thats why i came on here to see if anybodys had any issues

Let us know how it goes and if it gets resolved. I'm interested to see if it's mechanical or tune related so i can get my car to 100%

Will do! both the installer and my tuner have been kind to help me through this. i sent an email to my tuner of my concerns o waiting to hear back from him. my installer wants me to check my throttle body possibly even swap it out with somebody elses to see if its that or not. ive also heard of imrc issues or vct solenoids but who knows im just trying to get this working. i understand e85 can be a pain but it cant be this bad lol

It isn't the E85, I've seen people have issues like this with certain tuners, to only get a new tune from somebody else and the issue be resolved, which is why I asked. Maybe it is mechanical though, keep us updated.

This issue can be hard to dial in if the tuner isn't familiar with tuning these cars with the IMRCs deleted. Base file may have some idle start up/stall issues, but it should not be pushing through the brakes.
