I wanted to ask if anybody had a voodoo go out on them after a decent amount of driving time was already done or knows of people who have? After spending a lot of time reading 350 engine failure posts on a few forums it seems that most of them fail anywhere between 100 & 8000 miles.

Mine has about 21k miles on it - hoping that is a sign there is a lesser chance of something catastrophic happening.

Cheers

You have 21,000 miles on yours so I think you answered your own question lol. Stop reading engine failure threads and spend more time reading threads on how amazing the car is.

Engine blowing is not usually related to higher mileage, but moreso abuse and/or lack of maintenance. Higher mileage cars usually experience other symptoms of age, not catastrophic failures. Unless there's an issue with the metallurgy, higher mileage engines don't fatigue and have higher chance of catastrophic failures.

Keep up with your maintenance, use high quality fuel and don't abuse the car beyond its intended limits and it will last a long time.

About to turn 26k in my ā€˜18 and it’s been great. Doesn’t burn oil and I don’t baby it. But I don’t do stupid shit like revving to redline to show someone the noise either. Keep the oil checked and changed it will be fine.

Now stuff like the A/C? 😬
