That's what I was thinking and had said. With it being a R car even being tuned it would probably still sell as so at a decent price - since they are hard to come by. But who knows.
How much do you guys think having a 350R tuned with typical bolt ons / e85 would effect resale value down the road? Of course the parts will not equate in value but just the car itself. A buddy of mine is going to be listing his soon and imposed the question - hadn't really thought about it...
I couldn't give up the manual & other features that make a 350 a 350. I'm mainly interested in street fun for now and it looks like boost accomplishes that with little to no issue. If I got serious about tracking I would probably remove any forced induction and just go from there.
F/I is still...
I'm falling into the category of driver who wants to turn it into a street monster even though that's not the intended purpose of this car. I just think it's so damn beautiful - I would not get the same feeling walking up to a hellcat or corvette. So I figure a fair compromise for best of both...
Thanks for the suggestions. When tracked it will be road course. I would be more concerned with the heat if I went with turbos but I think supercharger/procharger should be fine with proper cooling mods.
I'm going to start with a bolt on setup for my 350R before most likely adding a Procharger. I may be missing a thing or two - list of everything is on a different computer.
Currently I have:
- ARH off road long system (headers & x pipe)
- JLT cold air intake
- Lund for tune
- Upgraded fuel...
Lawrence Motorsports was a pleasure to work with! 100% recommend their manager Sam & team to anyone in the market. No kidding I could sit and look at their garage for hours.
Definitely going to bring it out to cars & coffee.
Happy holidays!
Just picked up my 2019 GT350R last night! Super stoked. 4k miles and not a dent or chip. Most likely going to go F/I down the road. Will post updates as the car progresses.
Any R owners or 350 owners here in AZ? Need some cruises and meets to take this beast to. Cheers!
Yes that was the original cause of replacement. Oil separators is one of the parts I brought it in to have put on - so going forward it now has them.
I myself have not but will ask my mechanic to check those places for oil.
My 2017 GT350 is back at the dealer getting a few unrelated parts added on.
They checked the oil and based on current level compared to last change it's consuming around 1 quart/500 miles. May be a little bit less then that.
Car had engine replaced around 4k miles and is now at 26k so it's...
Thank you that makes sense. When looking on google there's a ton of people just saying "oh yea the tune will remove the code" when it seems that's not the reality. Just want to prepare for what I'm about to do.
