Like many I tend to overthink my approach to modding my new car. I want to set this up for mainly a DD but occasional track day/autocross/HDPE.

Below is my approach this week:

1. Cat Back Exhaust either Corsa Sport or Magnaflow Street (can't decide)
2. MGW Shifter
3. Koni Yellow front and rear with the suggested Eibach Pro Springs.
4. Square setup 19x10 so far I like the 6G

Just looking for other vantage points on prioritizing the list or things I have overlooked. Also if there are deals on this stuff let me know best place to go.

Thanks in advance, have been on the forum almost daily. Winters are long in Wisconsin allowing a lot of "what if" time...........

I did MagnaFlow on my Corvette and am happy, also did the MGW shifter, you would love George he is an engineer.

No opinion on shocks, to new to the Mustang gig.

I am also going 19x10. If it is a daily driver, you can rotate the tires!

Where in WI are you? I am near West Bend, but moving to Hudson.

By track day do you mean 1/4 mile? If so, many of the mods for 1/4 mile and HPDE are opposite. Which is more important to you?

The Corsa Sport isn't particularly loud if you are driving normally.

The volume is moderate under normal acceleration, nearly undetectable while cruising, but loud and aggressive under hard acceleration from around 4000rpms to redline (at higher Rpms the extreme and sport sound very similar, but at lower Rpms the sport is deeper and quieter where as the extreme is louder and higher pitched).

Limiting the amount of rotational mass on the wheels is going to be of big help. Along with that putting a nice fat sticky tire underneath is going to help substantially in keeping the power to the ground, and keeping you where you want to go. Something like this comes to mind when you think of a 6G built for speed:

18" FlowForm FF15 Wheels

How does wheel hop affect track/autocross/HDPE?
Limits your ability to put down that power, since you're not getting traction when the wheel is 'hopping.'

Thanks for the replies. I am not interested in drag racing. I meant track days on road courses like Gingerman, Black Hawk or Road America.

Was thinking more of a FR axle back because I want to keep as much of the the low frequency 60's exhaust rumble as possible (within the constraints of what is available from the Coyote). Not a fan of the high frequency noisy rasp. Ditto on the MGW. #3 & #4 not on my list, PP is good enough for me.

I am leaning towards the magnaflow street catback. I might swap the x pipe for an h pipe down the road. I cannot find a single sound clip of a magnaflow street coupled to an h pipe. If anyone has a clip let me know.

not as much as a hard launch but the floppy bushings on the rear IRS still hinders grip. Rear end feels a lot more stable after the anti wheel hop mods

Wisconsin drivers unite!

I'm in Kenosha, not sure if you have ever considered Stainless Works but if you want to hear it in person we can try to meet. Prob about a 45min drive if we meet halfway.
