Engine Whistle GT

Sorry if there is already posts about this but I've been searching the whole forum for them and have not come across an answer


I got my 2015 ford mustang GT last Friday.
Every time i step on the accelerator this whistle comes on from the engine area. My radio is turned off and i even turn off the AC. Still can hear the whistle. Is that Normal?

Hey man!

That's a tough question as it really all depends on the type of whistle.

Sometimes you are just hearing the sound of the engine sucking in air, but if it's high pitch or extremely loud, then there might be an underlying problem.

Do you have a video of the sound it's making?

Would you compare the sound to a bad radio ground? I get a similar thing when driving aggressive.

I notice a slight whine/whistle on my GT at higher RPM ... I think it's just normal intake noise.

Hey guys thanks for the replys.

It's stick shift and it whistles when cruising slowly or driving a little aggressively. It's basically anytime I push on the gas.

It's not super loud but you can hear it if you look for it.
And it's bone stock no mods
I can try to do a video but since going to be iPhone quality only so probably won't hear it on top of the v8 noise

Its probably the transmission. Normal for these cars. If it was loud/excessive you should get it checked out.
