Engine Red line

I see videos on YouTube of mustangs under heavy acceleration. They show the cars tachometer in the video. The cars appear to be automatic transmission vehicles. The cars shifts well and seem close to the red line. My question is, Can you over rev the engine past the red line with a manual transmission?

no. the engine will not let you, but if you miss a shift into lower gear instead higher, you can easily pass the mark. as its thrown past it.

but if you just wot, in a gear, it shouldn't let you exceed it. it will bounce/stay

I believe its electronically limited but ive seen people increase the limit via tuning. I accidentally banged off the redline last night and it would not budge over 7.5k or so on a 2019 gt
