The covers just pop off from what I understand right? Or are they actually screwed in? I haven't really tinkered around the engine bay yet

The valve covers an engine cover just pops right off, for the valve covers U will have to pop off the oil breather tubes first

Looks great! I'd love to give that a try. What kind of paint did you use? How tape off the insets? Any tips for those of us non painters that might want to give it a try?

I had a feeling I should have written a how to haha. Alright I'll try my best to give a step by step
1.) for the engine cover, you need to seperate it into two pieces. I did this by getting myself a drill a drilling out the plastic rivets holding it together, and then grinding off the bottom side of the rivet with a dremel using a cutting wheel.
2.) once U have these drilled/ground off, your gonna have to pop it apart. This is the nervous part, mine mad a pretty good popping sound when it finally separated, I don't rememeber what size drill bit I used I'll have to check when I get home in about a week.
3.) once you have the engine cover apart, clean the pieces your wanting to paint with some rubbing alcohol and then let dry.
4.) get yourself the thinnest automotive masking tape you can find and mask off what portions U don't want painted. To get down in the corners of the stripes of the coil covers and engine cover I used my credit card and then cut the excess off with a scalpel.
5. ) once everything is masked like ur wanting, it's time to paint. I used vht high temp engine paint from autozone ran like $7 a can, it only took me one but I would get a second just in case.
6.) the most important part is to not rush this! Give it light coats and let each coat dry properly before U spray the next one, if you go to quickly you will get runs which is super easy with a rattle can.
7.) once you apply your coats, remove the tape U masked off the portions of your covers with, do this slowly just in case.
8.) I used some stainless steel screws with some flat washers to put the two pieces of the engine cover back together, just snug them! Don't HE-MAN them cause U will break the plastic.
9.) this step is only for guys with strut tower braces.... REMOVE THE BRACE BEFORE PUTTING THE ENGINE COVER BACK ON!!! I made this mistake and scratched up my engine cover and had to re paint it. Just save yourself the headache.

Hope this helps some people out. Any more questions just let me know

Haha that's great! I work in hospitals so that prolly wouldn't work lol. Yeah I originally wanted deep impact blue but didn't want to wait for one. So got white and glad I did, don't see many of them and it's just a clean look.
