Anyone have a list of common tools to have in your S550?

Example: Socket sizes, wrenches, 3oz bottle of simple green, etc.

I have a small a small 10" canvas tool bag in the spare tire well. Basically I try to make sure I have all the tools (within reason) I used to put any parts on the car in case something goes wrong.

I just have a breaker bar and appropriate deep socket to remove tire.

What are you thinking you will be able to fix with common tools? I mean what could go wrong where wrenching on the side of the road will fix? Especially with the absence of any replacement parts?

The number to ford roadside assistance for the mustang.

In my cobra replica, I carry a canvas bag with a 153 pc tool kit in it. Full set of standard and metric sockets in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 drive, extensions, a universal joint, couple adapters, pliers, wrenches (standard and metric) flat and Phillips screw drivers. Then I added to that with a small hammer, Allen wrenches, a changeable bit screw driver with torx bits. Electrical tape, various crimp connectors and pliers, couple crescent wrenches. Not the specialty stuff I might need sometimes but I could probably take the whole car apart and reassemble it on side of the road. Until I get a few more miles on it, I will also always have my laptop to fine tune the tuning and just in case if I need it to fix a computer problem (or more likely verify a dead ecu). Also I have a couple large sheets of plastic rolled up tightly if I need to lay on the ground. And on the other side of the battery is a small billet aluminum scissor jack (see flatjack). Not ideal but works in a pinch. If it's beyond what I can fix with that, then I'll call my pops to grab my car hauler and come get me.

only carry a set of jumper cables, the included air compressor. From watching many episodes of I Shouldnt Be Alive, a satellite phone and water would solve most of the issues :headbonk:
