Yes scrolling up down does nothing to change the fact that when I hit "ok" the screen remains black. I'm only 400 miles from first service so was going to have it looked at then.

Had the same issue, dealer selected trip meter, then scrolled up or down and the various screens appeared. There is a blank screen in the rotation and it just happened to be on that! Hope you get it sorted.

That's what it sounds like to me also. You just happen to have the blank screen selected. Once the blank screen comes up then use the up/down arrows. Don't do it until you're looking at the blank screen.
