Is that 380 whp with stock internals or naw?
Yes, 425 ish is the highest I'd go with stock block. The VTT stage 2 is good for up to 550hp so just matter of delivering fuel somehow.

No not yet, everything I have on is in my signature. I added the Vargas in my final price because it will eventually be on and I wanted an accurate price comparison. I've been following every thread on the Vargas and guy are easily 400hp and up to the wheels while still getting 30mpg highway. Also a stock GT makes roughly 380-390 wheel so having a similar finish price between full mod Eco and BASE stock GT, you whip V8 ass. Sorry for the confusion however

Ya I love he gas mileage, I was trying to finish the last of my E30 to fill to 93 for a log and was kindve bummed out when the mpg wouldn't go below 27 on the highway.

I believe they have a VTT TW+ good for 600. Extra 300$ if I remember right but it's 600!

Ok so this guy has a Borg 7670 and his suspension done and a lot of other things BUT it's an ecoboost and honestly, he passes a corvette and a Porsche on this track. If you want a little inspiration this is pretty sweet. He has another video as well.

I believe I saw a thread of a tuned Vargas setup in which the tuner said he got 30mpg highway. I think there was a little custom work to cut some power back on highway or I could be wrong about that but either way 30! Look up some builds and you'll come across it. Even so, 400 hp and 25 is awesome to me. Currently with everything I have I was cruising in 4th the other day on a flat road and was getting 31. 65mph is optimal rpm/speed for mph so that speaks to the free flowing bolt ins and tune!

Is that highway miles? Look more like mixed city/highway miles. Highway you should get over 30 at 70-80 mph. If not then you should get your car looked at.

Good comparison. Definitely varies based upon where people live for sure. I found a GT under 28 new near me. And I was damn tempted to sell everything off my car and trade in for it for sure. But I decided against it. I still have a lot more to learn on my car and have enjoyed the experience thus far.

test drove a GT recently with auto and the not so good gearing(3:15?).I was not impressed.my eco was not much slower feeling and with PP,handles better.
The ecoboost may not have "felt" much slower but it is, especially approaching higher speeds. If you don't care about numbers than you are winning regardless.:)

You know something I haven't mentioned yet, yeah any of us could get a GT, get an exhaust and headers and whatever. At the end your a great sounding GT. Get of couple together and you have some very similar and typical GT performing as should. I may get flack for this but to me that isn't as special as the underdog Eco hitting the track getting similar times as well. A modded Eco says something different and has a wow factor. It's not supposed to be yet you made it that way.

I know there's nothing new about this, but I feel like sharing my upgrade route and prices vs a GT and see your guys thoughts. Please keep the civil war at bay, this merely a path to enjoying my car.

I broke down a list of what I have and paid for to compare cost to performance.

Base Eco:24,995
Mbrp:480 (deal)
Levels IC: 540
Map Cai: 260
Atp Dp clone: 235
Cobb w/ Tune+:685
TS BOV: 235
RTR Tech 7's with Pirelli: 1,780
Vibrant Res: 90
(Did every single install, no labor costs)

29280 so far. The next two upgrades are VTT twin scroll and UPR CC for 2300 so that's 31580. Now that would get me much faster than a GT, much. Also in my area best deal on a used GT is 31k with 13,000 miles. Id have to go full bolt on tuned to compete (correct me if I'm mistaken please, I don't have every answer lol) now idk how much going full bolt plus a tune would add to that price but I'm sure id be in it a lot deeper.

I enjoy both, of course everyone wants that classic V8 big balls sound but I'm also being practical. I travel from WA to CA and I love the gas mileage this ca offers even with the Vargas upgrade. I don't mind the sound enough to wanna pay more sticker and gas. If one day I hit 11,s 1/4 mile I'll be super happy.

Anyways I'm curious on everyone's own opinion on the matter!
I previously owned an EB, but found it wanting, and I didn't want to chance popping a motor with a tune. Sold it and got a new GT.
For mid 32k I got a 2016 GT with PP, which was much better in the handling (and speed) department compared to the base EB.

I imagine that, depending on your tune, your EB may be quicker than a stock GT, but I think you also need to qualify that you have essentially forfeited your powertrain warranty.
