You are definitely not giving up any torque, however, the way it feels driving is just different. It feels torqueier although it is most definitely not also please remember that the horsepower rating difference of the stock vehicles is 150 HP, but the torque difference is 70lb-ft so it's less noticeable from that pic as well.

It’s a myth. There isn’t anywhere on a graph where your giving up torque. To the smaller engine
I guess I wasn't saying the 5.0 had less torque down low (I don't know what the curves look like superimposed on top of one another). What I meant was that the ecoboost will feel really torquey when the turbo kicks in, cause the torque the small 4 cylinder engine makes without the turbos spooling is very low. The 5.0 doesn't have that same drastic difference so it will have a different feel driving around. I am in the camp that while the low end isn't like a big block, it's more than adequate for normal street driving without ever having to go WOT unless you want to for the thrill. Heck, I rarely have to go more than 1/2 throttle, much less WOT, in my day to day driving. I only go WOT if I want to.

Idaho, I will admit I haven't driven the a10 yet. I hope to soon to see if this impresses me more then the couple 15 thru 16's I drove. I also never drove a tuned GT either.

Blue, you are correct that the GT per every dyno chart I've seen has more torque then the stock ecoboost. The tuned ones can certainly best the torque of the Gt by a lot though. But the stock tune tricks us into having more torque under normal driving because it adds so much boost at initial throttle to give great torque right away. But then we go flat to the floor without much increase in pull or torque. The nice thing about this is we get nice pull without multiple downshifts where as the auto Gt will do multiple downshifts and start to scream to get the more torque because have to give a fair amount of throttle which then causes downshifts. Most times I just don't want that or the attention. I've grown to enjoy turbo roll on the throttle and go even if it makes a lackluster topend pull.
