Since day 1 I've been hitting a best of 6.1 0-60 and a worst of 6.4 consistently with every variable imaginable altered.. I'm talking TC on/off, Advancetrac on/off, brake boosting, 1k, 1500, 2k, 2500, 3k.. no brake boosting, warm up tires with a burn out, no warm up.. fresh tread when first purchased, after a rotation, after oil change, with MMR CAI, stock CAI, in cold temps (as low as 50-ish) in cool temps (mid 60's-70ish), high temp (80-90).. day time, night time, D, S.. auto shifting, manual shifting, short shifting, reving it out, on a main street with fresh tarmac, on a worn side street, AC on, AC off, windows up, windows down etc etc..

Best results are always 6.1.. worst: 6.4 All on 93 octane premium tried from a Chevron, Mobil and a BP..

Something is wrong. I can knock off 5.5s all day in my wife's auto. Brake boosting up to about 1.5K. I'm also at mile high altitude!

That being said, who's to say that perhaps the boost algorithm (ramp up to full boost) hasn't maybe been modified to protect the transmission on the EB Mustang, or something of the likes? Kia clearly sent out either a deliberately higher-tuned car to the initial reviews, or decided mid-model year for the 2011 model that perhaps they need to detune the launch algorithm to protect the transmission from hard launches.
Considering the Ecoboost and GT share the same transmissions don't see why they would need to protect the transmission.

The best I could do with my 15 Ecoboost Premium with manual and PP stock was 5.9. With a CAI, tune and exhaust my best has been 5.2. I raised the Rev limiter to 7200 rpm to see if I was any quicker without having to shift to 3rd, it's not. You are far enough beyond the power band at 7000 rpm you are slowing down as much as the time you lose shifting to 3rd.

I am sure the car will do better with more traction, if I launch to hard the P Zeros just go up in smoke. When the PCV Zeros are done in am going good to 275 wide tires which should help.

Also, if you clear KAM once in awhile the car feels peppier.

I'm just impressed these guys couldn't touch the stock EB fast list. Yay magazine racers.

Well, if it happens to you in reality, then you can get a new cylinder head from your dealer until you hit 60k miles (this is, no joke, Ford's solution to coked intake valves!).

If you've modded your car, then have fun walnut blasting your intake valves (this is the solution that most other DI engine manufacturers use...). You can buy a DIY kit for that

There are no hills where I live.. Lol. It's all flat.

To go "up or downhill" I'd have to do it going in/out of an elevated freeway entrance/exit which probably is not the best idea unless I want to get rear ended.

Aka Chevy Trend.
I call BS on this. When I was a kid in the 1990s (and obsessing over car magazines), all my friends and I used to say that MT was in Ford's pocket. This says more about our own biases than the Magazine's bias. I was a drooling Dodge/Plymouth fan with very little to get excited about other than the Viper and Neon R/T. LOL...

MT raved about the Mustang two generations in a row. It is possible that the Chevy is that good this time around.

I can consistently hit about 4.5sec or better on mine :p
Seriously? What mods did this take?
