Replaced the factory oil press/vacumn gauges with the EcoBoost set to get a boost gauge. Do I have to replace the Coyote MAP sensor with the EcoBoost MAP sensor and retune to get accurate readings? I am asking because it is only reading about 6lbs boost at 7k.
Sure seems low to me.
Help friends.

What kind of boost number are you expecting to see. Shouldn't need to do anything for it to read right. I searched into it a lot before doing the same on my GT. Mine reads right around 8lbs which is spot on to what it should read without doing anything more than swapping the gauges out.

Thanks for the reply.
I am only seeing 6# but car does run strong.
Need to remove front end and check all clamps and make sure all is well.

I did this same exchange prior to supercharging, went into forscan to enable vacuum/boost but my gauge doesn’t raise above 0. Did you have to do anything other than plug/play?

I did it, albeit a tad differently…

I feel like this is the route I’m going to end up taking. I just hate I sunk the cost into the ecoboost thinking it would be simple.
yea…I wanted true pressure readings directly from a sensor, and the peak/warn function as well 😉

…you can always resell the eco’s to recoup some!
