Yea the noise is key! I love the sound of the intake and extra turbo noise! That would be why I wanted to do it for sure

I wonder if the temperature increase has to do with it letting more, of the hotter, air in?I have the K&N on my car and while the sound is absolutely awesome, the IATs are not. With the stock intake my IATs were usually 1-3 degrees from ambient, but with the K&N I have never been able to get the difference to be less than 15 degrees. It's even worse in stop and go traffic. I've seen my IATs rival coolant temps now.
I think I'll be trying something else soon.

MAP!Unless you drive in the city. 90 outside saw 145 temp.Freeway and cooler weather it stays around ambient though. The MAP cai I have goes right in front of the drivers side wheel so it seems to avoid all the extra engine heat.MAP!
