Adam Sir,
As always. one more thing... Many folks here, and myself, were under the impression that 3.73's might be too short of a gear since turbos prefer the larger load. Can you help me and or us understand why 3.73's would be OK with the 5558? Is it as you mentioned, because of the later...
Extra cost, not there at all times. I would prefer to stick with 93' numbers, knowing IF i wanted more power, i could. According to the Precision website, the 5558 can do around 590ish? Is that possible down the road with the built bottom end etc?
And the tune questions? We can take it to PMs...
Gah!! You are no longer with MAP? I assume you'll still handle my tunes?
Do I still need to stay with MAP products for your Customs tunes if not with them? I am a sad panda right now.
Will the 3.73's be too much with the 5558? RGA and E30 are not options, so I'll likely lean to the 5558...
This is true. My guy did this for me and it is nice being able to tweak the settings and correction factors etc. This will also allow you to overlay additional pulls as you do them assuming you ask for the files. Just bring a thumb drive with you.
Stock fuel system will hold even with turbo upgrade to ~425ish if I recall. Adam stated the P/P head however will demand the aux fuel setup.
To the OP, with stock fuel and stock turbo, you will be be under 400whp even IF you could use E30 or RGA as you meantion was not an option.
Afterthought... Does the valve train upgrade extend our theoretical redline given the higher pressure springs, and if yes, how much? Also, do the new +1 valves provide any gains by them selves?
Understood, but RGA and E85 blends not currently an option. But it does sound awesomesauce
Do you think 3.73's would be too much as well? Or will even stock turbo upgrade be too much? Where or when would you consider the P&P head with the valvetrain upgrades a worthwhile option? Also...
Perhaps the 5558 or at the largest a 5858 with 3.73'?? Will get the engine up and turbo spooling quicker, heirgo, useful.
Then i could eventually do the head p/p and piaton/rod upgrade to push it harder.
That said... Not sure. Maybe go crazy and get 4.10's again with just P1.5. What...
Help me understand this idea? I am not familiar with that one. Bigger than stock, but quicker natural spooling combined with the faster ball bearing spool up?
He's been really jammed up so I was opting for the community approach. I know Adam would help, as he has always been very responsive and informative, hence my commitment. I value Service and Support over everything else.
That said, I may have to call him versus PMing to really review my...
I know the quick answer is Turbo... I know... but not so fast. (yes, pun intended :D)
80% of my driving in local and many times in traffic. I will only go to the track once a year if that. I am more of a red light to red light kinda driver, and some highway. I have my wife and kids with...
