I have 17 eb premium, non pp. I have a lead on cheap base gt 4 pistons off front brakes / calipers with low miles on caliper/pad.

What else do I need? New rotors etc? Do I need a new master cylinder?

is it pretty much direct swap or is there more to this than you’d recommend doing?

Calipers and rotors.
MC is not required.
direct bolt on.you will need the PP brake lines with the calipers if the new calipers are bare.

Should I buy aftermarket brake lines if they don’t come with it?

if I found a full set of take offs from a GT base, will the rear brake caliper + rotors + brake pads work on my ecoboost?

found a full set that may end up grabbing if everything fits just fine.

If someone could post by morning would be appreciated thanks

(I’m assuming I would also need new brake lines for the rear calipers if none of the brake calipers come with them from GT? Since I have ecoboost base front and back brakes)

Are the lines costly? Should I go aftermarket or oem what would you do or recommend? Thanks!

Oh and do I need gt or ecoboost brake lines? Are they physically different? Asking because it appears there’s no lines with the calipers so need to know which ones I’d need

The rear brakes are the same as yours, so no need.
If the take offs come with brake lines you are good.
You cannot re use your non PP EB lines since they are different.

EB PP and base GT use the same brakes.
If you want to upgrade the upgrade, get stainless brake lines. They are $200 for a full set.
But OEM works just fine.

"no". The Goodridge (Steeda are same) braided lines are intended for track use and since they are stiffer they pull on the connector and run the risk of loosening since street driving turns the wheels a lot more than the track. You have to routinely check tightness - like 100 miles after install and every 500 to be sure. The OEM rubber don't have this problem. Feel between rubber and braided isn't likely to be a concern unless you're constantly standing on the brake (race track).

I did the same swap on my '17 V6 car. The rears are the same except the GT rear rotors are vented. I did the rear swap on my '17 just because I got the new take off setup really really cheap and it allowed me to have time to paint the rear calipers without down time....

Just order new GT front brakes hoses. I used Raybestos parts from Amazon / Rock Auto.

The braking difference between the base GT 4 pots and the stock V6 / EB 2 pots are RIDICULOUS if you get decent pads.

If you have an air compressor hit up Harbor freight and get a pressure brake bleeder setup for cheap. Works great. I've used it a ton and it's much less work than the MityVac I used for years.

Thanks everyone! He has the front brake lines and dust shields included, so that means I could probably forgo needing lines completely

I went to dealership, why are some of the 4 piston caliper cars silver in front, and others are like dark grey or black (not talking about Brembo)

two examples. Same car, same generation. I’ve seen several cars w darker brakes and some silver

Does anyone know if my stock eco bolts will work with the gt calipers and brakes? Or do I need to go buy a set before I go and take everything off to install

Thanks, just wanted to clarify everything before it’s on lift and then realize something is missing.

Just ordered some caliper g2 paint and will get it on next week! Here’s my car barking
