ecoboost 2015 fuel consumption problem

i have 15 ecoboost , i got problem in fuel consumption . i have average in city 18MPG !! it should be around 22-24MPG
anybody have same issue ?? whats solution ??

active grille air shutter sensor minimum/maximum stop performance

It means and your grill shutters behind the front grill are malfunctioning.
If they were stuck in the closed position, you will be running very hot and the engine will be running very poorly.
Surprised you aren't overheating if they are stuck closed.

Look into the front grill and see if you can see the radiator, if so, they are open.
If you only see plastic slats, you are closed.

In the middle east, you have no need for them. I removed mine for better flow to the intercooler.

I've been thinking about removing mine because it's hot as balls where I live but I see too many differing accounts here on whether or not it will throw a code.. did you get any codes/dash lights when you removed yours?

I removed the shutters, took the electrical connector and motor off the housing.
Tossed the shutters and zip tied the harness and the little motor behind the crash bar.
No codes, the ecu thinks they are still there.

That's clever.. I didn't know that was possible.

They wont, 50years edition and euro spec EBs don't even have them.
Removed mine when I did my IC upgrade.

I removed my shutters and zip tied the motor to the wire harness on the front crash bar right next to where it originally was. Now it can actuate all day as much as it wants, I can't see it and it throws no codes :cheers:

The shutters also help control condensation in the intercooler in cooler climates. This can cause misfires. Careful before tossing things, just an FYI.

The OP is in the middle east.
And back to his question, if the shutters are stuck closed, you will get little airflow over the radiator, condenser and intercooler. This could indeed cause poor performance and decreased mileage.
