Yep! We plan to offer everything for the EB Mustang just like we offer for the Focus ST or Fiesta ST:

Intake
FMIC
Catback Exhaust
Downpipe

We do a lot of R&D to make sure we have the proper upgrade path for the car so one part doesn't limit the others. Just like on the other EB cars we support, the FMIC should be your first upgrade for this car too. No release dates on the parts quite yet, but we are working hard! I post teasers every now and then on my Instagram account: ianatcobb

Thanks Ian, I tried to find you on Twitter and came up with some odd results... i'm probably doing it wrong, I rarely use Twitter. I did however find CobbTuning and followed that.

Also, as I'm in the market and probably going to order what I want, how much better is the EB PP over the Auto you have? I'm looking stock vs stock, off the line speed, and turning. Is it a huge difference? Trying to decide to get EB Premium with PP or EB Premium with Auto, the price diff is only a few hundred bucks.

Intercooler first upgrade? Would this be before or after the AccessPort?

We'll find out very soon! We have both a MT and AT EB Mustang and we'll have some MT dyno results, hopefully, today.

After so you can take advantage of the more efficiently cooled air. You could upgrade the FMIC on the stock car, but you'd have very minimal gains without tuning.

Ian, I noticed you guys are in Austin, If I do happen to pick up an EB over a base GT, what are the chances I can swing buy one weekend and get the seat of my pants feeling in one of your tuned EBs?

Looking at all the data, and video's being posted are great an all, but nothing compares to acutely feeling the change.

No problem at all! Usually if one is disassembled for prototype parts, the other one is driveable ;)

We're open Monday through Friday 9AM - 6PM, but people are always here early, late, and on the weekends so can take you for a ride. Just shoot us a PM or email when you might be able to come.

Awesome! I'll probably know tonight what route I'm taking. Heading down to the Ford dealership with the Wife to test drive some of our options, so she can get an idea what she's letting me get into.

So I test drove all 3 models this weekend and was impressed with the EB so much that is looking like the route I'm going. The GT was amazing but the raw power is just not something I need nor I think is wise for a DD. Does purchasing a COBB tune void the warranty on the EB?

That's a question for Ford Service not for tuners.

Ian,

thanks for taking the time to answer all my EB questions in reguards to your tuning options. That being said, I placed an order on a 15 GT premium last night. If your company ever decides start tuning the 5.0 let me know, I'm very impressed with Cobb.

We will have to investigate if that compensation is in the ECU or another module. So not yet, but it doesn't rule it out!

An entire warranty can't be denied for a single modification, but a specific claim can be voided if the modification caused the issue. In our experience, it really varies by dealership if they are ok with the Accessport, understand what it does, and other modifications or not.

I heard the 5.0 a bunch at SEMA and that exhaust note can be pretty convincing! No 5.0 COBB plans right now, but if we ever change our minds, you know where we will post it up!

1st question, is a Turbo Timer necessary on these cars? Do any of the tuners tuning devices act as one, like Cobb's Accessport?

This is one area where there are a lot of opinions out there. Most modern cars will run a fan if they know the calculated turbo temp is above a certain level to help do this, and it is actually very effective. The best advice? just don't run the car hard and then instantly put away.

2nd - as this car is my DD in heavy traffic should I stick with a more conservative tune from Cobb, or a balls to the wall tune from say livernois or Lund. I know they are reputable tuners, but how is their track record with these first tunes long term? I know this is a new platform and things are still getting worked out, but I don't want to tune my car, and come to find out it's too aggresive and I hurt somthing.

Well, technically our tunes are designed to be a daily driver first, and a performance car second. We just happen to know how to tune them so both happen in the same tune. Our EB tunes have been out there since 2009 and are used every day, and then go to the track and set records. Basically in every platform we offer a tuner for on the EB engine line, we have the record for fastest tune only, and on quite a few platforms, fastest period... In fact, the 11.95 Taurus we did have had our upgrades on it for over 75k miles

3rd - I do want to upgrade exhaust, but want to keep it emissions friendly (set it and forget it) is there anything 50 state legal yet, with good proven gains?

Pretty much any cat-back is 50-state legal. You will never find a downpipe that is 50-state legal though.

4th - Are bigger charge pipes compatible with this twin scroll turbo? what type of gains have people seen with them on other plattforms?

Bigger charge pipes won't have much, if any impact at all. hard pipes with reduced degree bends and smoother transitions will help for sure though.

5 - Blow off Valve... If I can't have V8 grumble, I must have obnoxious sneezing. anyone currently working on this? ( i know it's "ricey" but I love it.

We are working on this along with an upgraded charge pipe. Mind you, it won't help performance one bit, but it will definitely be audible.
