I have easy entry/exit enabled. Everytime I shut the car off, the easy exit functions properly. However, when I start the car, the seat returns to the driving position less than half of the time. The owner's manual doesn't go into any detail on if there is a trick to this. What am I missing?

There is supposed to be an update that addresses this and the mirror issue from what I understand. I need to setup an appointment to get it done.

I'm having this same issue on my 2016 mustang.... I thought it was me doing something or being a fat ass and stopping it from moving.

Here is something that I have noticed a few times on my car - The seat won't move automatically while my car is in gear (automatic). If I jump in, start the engine, and put it in reverse too quickly, the seat won't return to my memory position. I have to either wait until the seat stops moving before putting it in gear, or bump it into neutral as I am coasting to the stop sign at the end of the block and hit the button on the door.

I have tried many scenarios to try and replicate a pattern, but it appears to be random.

I should be receiving my car from the dealership tomorrow, so I will report back with my results.

I picked up my car from the dealership. I got the dreaded "Issue could not be replicated". Of course when I got in at the dealership it worked, but as soon as I got in the next time it didn't....crap

I had the same problem.
I fixed it by also linking my key to my seat position. Page 112 in the manual explains how.

Alternative solution:
turn ease of entry off and use seat memory #1 for my seat, and memory #3 for ease of entry and exit (same as #1 only a few inches further back). It requires an extra push of the button every time you get in and out, but it's on your terms.

I guess I just joined the club.

My easy/exit stopped working and wouldn't work for 4 start-stop cycles after that so I tried saving a new seat position as memory number 1, no dice. It just wouldn't accept, no matter how long i pressed it. 1, 2 or 3.

Went into settings, turned off easy entry/exit. Saved seat position to 1. Worked. Turned easy/entry back on and works just fine now
