E85 has a yellow tint to it

Just recently picked up about 16 gallons of e85 from a gas station and it has a yellow tint to it. It tested at 85% but the color is throwing me off a bit. I have seen other ppl e85 be this color but i usually go to a sunoco pure power dedicated e85 pump and its usually clear in color. Unfortunately i moved and dont have access to that pump anymore so my friend recommended me this place that he uses for his whippled f150. Just curious if its normal for it to have a yellow tint to it. Looking ti switch from my 93 lund tune back onto E. Im not worried about the ethanol content bc it tested perfect.

I’ve seen yellow and also cloudy e85. I usually pass on it and go to the next place. but that’s just my OCD and wanting it to be clear. No clue what causes the yellow or cloudiness but I don’t want it in my motor. It’s probably fine but hopefully someone else chimes in with some science

Yeah it wasnt cloudy or anything. I think itll be fine

Yeah like i said my boy runs it in his whippled 5.0 w no issues. Color just threw me off but it tested perfect

Awesome company and people to deal with and the trans worked perfectly when I was 900+whp. If you are looking to upgrade the trans I totally recommend them !

I am im looking to boost within a few months and plan to be around 850whp and i want the trans to stay strong. Can you just buy the rebuild kit and have someone install? Or have ti bring it to them??

Great question! I brought my car to them because they are about 2.5 hrs south of me. Best thing to do is contact them and see what options they offer and go from there.
