I decided to get a baseline dyne on the car today. I planned to do this prior to the MMR intake but never got around to it. Oh well I figured I better get a couple pulls in before any more mods. It's been a long time since I had a car on the dyno, it's always fun. The dyno operator did two pulls in 5th gear, and then I had them do one in 4th, the car seemed much happier to perform this test in 4th gear and I wish we had done all pulls in 4th before it got hot!

Anyhow, this first pull netted 265whp (did not measure tq)
Second pull was 256whp and 287tq
Third pull was (4th gear) was 273hp and 281tq.

I didn't have any expectations as I realize that dyno's can all read a little different. I just wanted to make sure I was in the ballpark for other Dyno tests I've seen and to give me something to compare it too when I add the tune / I/C and Exhaust modifications.

Anyhow..... just having fun with my car!

Good stuff, a dyno is a tool and part of being a tool is to get a base line like you did. As long as you keep going to the same dyno under similar conditions you'll have a nice visual on what changes these parts are making on your car.

I think we have just about the same car Magnetic with performance pack and recaros, the color combination is perfect!

 yup, sounds like we got the exact same combo. I think it's the most raw and purposeful way to get an EcoBoost. It sure was hard to find for me though!

In an effort to find the best place locally to perform dyno testing I went to visit another shop today that uses a Mustang brand dyno. These typically read lower than a Dynojet and the results were 261hp 272tq. So it seems both machines are reading well but I like the Mustang dyno better after hearing more about how it works vs. a dynojet. Anyhow, I'd be happy to visit either one in the future.

Please keep in mind that the MD dyno's are the easiest of all dyno's to manipulate. Meaning you can change the roller weight in the software to inflate the numbers. Most shops with MD dynos do so in an attempt to be at or near what the unloaded dynojet numbers are.

Any loaded dyno is much better for dialing in a tune overall.

This was done in gear 4

Can you post some pics of the dynographs? I'd love to see what the torque curve looks like.

Here's a photo of the graph from the Mustang Dyno.... Looked mostly like what I've seen from other stock dyno's.

And for fun I thought the car looked awesome as usual on the dyno... haha.
