Searched forum, no results.

High RPM on-track and it popped the DTC P0280.

Anyone have experience with this, i.e. was it the injector, the lead or the module?

Seems, as usual, I need to "lead" the tech at the dealership where to start first. (Like telling them to ohm the 7 and 8 injectors.)

Looking for other folks experience with this code for high RPM track use.

Thx

Problem with the cylinder 7 injector circuit? Possibly dirty injector or loose connection?

Thanks for the reply, but that much I know... I am looking for past experience from the forum's collective... has this code usually been the injector, or the lead, or the module?

- how long do injectors usually last in the GT350?

Something tells me it's the lead as I've had a heck of a time with the small pigtails and wiring harnesses when I go to the track. Most of my events have been cut short due to some fault code or another.

What are some of the other codes you’ve received? Might help paint a picture.

Seems like there is an issue with Cyl 8.

P0208 would be Cyl 8 fuel injector malfunction; check fuel injector harness, the pins in the fuel injector harness connector and check continuity of the injector to see if it’s within spec.

P0308 would be Cyl 8 misfire. Swap the Cyl 8 coil with Cyl 4. Clear DTC’s and see if you now get a P0304… if you do, then it’s a bad coil. If you don’t get a new DTC after swapping coils, then again check the Cyl 8 coil harness, and pins in harness connector.

Pull #8 spark plug and see what it looks like.

Thanks - I'll keep you informed.

A quick google-fu showed that as cyl 7 for me?

Either way - like CK said - the best DIY method is to swap things around and see if the issue follows a specific component.

My car is under warranty so it just goes to the dealership when there are issues. If we find it's a coil then I'll just have them change all of them as well as the spark plugs. (30k on these parts)

There is nothing worse than having your track weekend cut short.
