I have a buddy here in DFW that took my car in and did a dry ice detail to key components and even cleaned up the Alcantara steering wheel

My vehicle Videos are posted on his IG account

I gotta ask… what’s the cost to have your car/steering wheel blasted with dry ice? I’ve never heard of someone using ice blasting in this fashion, but I guess it makes sense. Doesn’t seem like it would be cost effective though.

Thanks for sharing at any rate!

It was a flat rate

Just to shoot all the interior Alcantara runs about $300. I am not aware of and other way that gets it this clean.

Interesting, thanks for the info. After I posted my reply to you I went down the YouTube rabbit hole of dry ice blasting.... holy crap you need a big compressor for that type of blasting!!

I've had great luck with foaming alcantera cleaner from sonax, but it does require more time and "fluffing" after cleaning to achieve similar results.

Time is money. He was done with the steering wheel before the excess dry ice could sublimate.

Crazy process for sure. He does a lot of older vehicles that need TLC and get ready for auctions.

I've never heard of this kind of detail work, that's cool (no pun intended  )

Do you happen to have some before/after pics of your car?
