Sorry if this is a re-post, maybe my google-fu sucks but I could not find the answer to my question.

2017 GT with Ford Performance Power Pack 2. I've purchased the Ford Performance oil separator but it appears to be passenger side only. I see a similar product that goes to drivers side but it's for the GT350 only. I thought I remember seeing somewhere that it's not needed on drivers side but it doesn't make sense to me why not, especially if GT350 does need it. Can anybody enlighten me? Thank you.

Since you have the Power Pack 2 on your car the FRPP driver side separator should also fit because you have the GT350 intake tube and airbox that the GT350 driver side separator mounts to.

These motors suck quite a bit of oil into the intake system through the passenger side PCV. It's beneficial to have it on both sides but not necessary as the PCV (the main source of the blow by) is only on the passenger side. Whatever product you saw for the GT350 that was only for the driver side is likely just a driver side kit. You can buy kits with left, right or both.

ive read why the coyote doesnt need the driver side but dont remember the exact specifics, but unless boosted it simply does not have enough blow by to need a catch can. not sure why the voodoo would need one but higher redline, higher compression, larger piston to cylinder wall clearance or flat plane crank maybe reasons

I have the exact same car, 17 with power pack 2
The driver side oil separator not only fit but is needed if you track your car
As a matter of fact I even had to add the gt500 valve cover to fix the issue of excessive blow by

Had a 2017 GT with the power pack 2 also. Used the drivers side GT350 separator, installed with no issues.

I installed both separators on my 2017 and drove it about 5,500 miles when I finally checked them. Passenger side was about half full, driver side was bone dry. Car was street driven, never tracked.

Thank you, that is very helpful. It sounds like based on your experience and others who posted, it's not needed on drivers side unless I track the car and/or drive it hard, or so it would seem.

You only really need it on the PCV side which on your car is on the passenger side. You will be good with the one you purchased. Driver side is not much needed.

I just installed the Ford Performance Oil Separator - passenger side - on a 2020 HEP. I can guarantee that short hose is not designed for this setup. You can make it fit, but it takes some effort.

Didn't think about during install (should have) but here are a couple after install.

Which hose do you believe is an issue, the 1 from the valve cover or the one to the intake?
Sorry, just reread your post. The small hose going to the intake is corrugated for this exact reason, to be able to bend sharply, so it’s totally normal for it to feel “wrong “
Was the same on my 17

Yes - the intake/corrugated. I know it's supposed to be flex fit, but it is almost to the point that you can damage the part trying to get it to fit. Just wanted others to know when they're working on it.

What about if the car is a high horsepower twin turbo or supercharged 5.0/5.2?
